Care & Maintenance
Blanco Silgranit sinks are designed to withstand the demands of everyday kitchen use while maintaining their colour and appearance for years to come. The non-porous surface naturally repels water, dirt and stains, making routine cleaning simple and effective.

Daily Cleaning
For everyday care, rinse the sink with warm water and wipe clean using a soft sponge or cloth with a mild dishwashing detergent. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to minimise water spotting and soap residue.

Removing Stains & Scuff Marks
Most food stains and minor scuff marks can be removed using dishwashing liquid and a soft nylon cleaning pad. For more stubborn stains, use a diluted solution of 50% household bleach and 50% water, leave for up to 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dark-coloured sinks should always be rinsed well with hot water after cleaning.

Limescale & Hard Water Deposits
In hard water areas, mineral deposits may develop over time. To remove limescale, apply warm white vinegar to the affected area, allow it to sit for approximately 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and finish with warm soapy water. Repeat if required for stubborn deposits.

Avoid
To protect the finish of your Silgranit sink, avoid:
- Steel wool or abrasive scouring pads
- Harsh abrasive cleaning products
- Concentrated bleach or hydrochloric-based cleaners
- Ammonia, caustic or highly corrosive chemicals
- Paint, grout or construction materials being cleaned in the sink
- Placing extremely hot cookware directly onto the sink surface for extended periods
- Drain cleaning chemicals that require the sink to be filled with water

Heat Resistance
Silgranit is highly heat resistant and engineered to withstand temperatures up to 280°C under normal household conditions. However, using a trivet or heat mat is recommended when placing very hot cookware into the sink.
